C'est vu à grande vitesse et haute altitude, mais relativement exhaustif et l'auteur connait son sujet.Malheureusement comme beaucoup de ces livres de vulgarisation US, il dit en 3 pages ce que l'on peut dire en une et le tout est noyé dans des tas de digressions et d'exemple souvent triviaux qui n'apportent pas grand chose et sont sensés rendre la technique plus assimilables.Si vous voulait acquérir des notions solides (sans descendre trop dans le détail de la mise en oeuvre), prenez un livre plus technique mas pas trop,.Si vous voulez juste un panorama global et pas trop technique trouvez une bonne revue ou un article d'initiation.Ce livre tombe entre les deux et est donc un peu "inutile".: trop verbeux pour un survol général, pas assez technique pour une compréhension profonde.La partie la plus intéressantes pour moi : les annexes avec la bibliographies afférente à chaque chapitre et l'aspect historique qui resitue chaque école dans son contexte chronologique.
